To be fair, a lot of the Homestuck fandom can be pretty awful. People certainly take the hate for the fandom way too far, but it didn’t spring out of nothing
Not sure if relevant. but from what I’ve been told a lot of the awful people in the Homestuck fandom actually came from Hetalia, which is of course kind of notorious for being terrible so…
Sooo that’s no reason to treat anyone like trash, because then it makes you no better.
While I know there ARE bad fans out there, that’s from every fandom, not just HS. The only “problem” is that the Homestuck fandom is so large that it magnifies the bad fans because there is well, more people.
But really, since I’ve joined, I’ve found nothing but polite, talented, and kind people. I have yet to meet anyone obnoxious or mean spirited or unpleasant at all. Everyone has been well mannered and, well, people.
Just normal people who happen to feel a connection with something, and they’re not wrong for that at all.
